Defense Secretary James Mattis arrived in Jordan on August 23 and gave a pep talk to stationed U.S. troops.
A video of Mattis was posted to the U.S. Army W.T.F! Moments Facebook page by a service member.
In his remarks to the troops, Mattis stated “Our country right now, it’s got problems we don’t have in the military… You just hold the line until our country gets back to understanding and respecting each other and showing it.”
Mattis was polite and respectful in his words; he encouraged and thanked the young adults for their service. “The only way this great big experiment you and I call America is going to survive is we got tough hombres like you,” he said.
